The Louisiana Annual Conference is the body all Methodist churches in the state of Louisiana are part of. Once a year in June all the churches from across the state gather in Shreveport, Louisiana for Holy Conferencing. The Louisiana Annual Conference is led by Bishop William Hutchinson.

The Louisiana Annual Conference is part of the South Central Jurisdiction which meets once every four years to elect new leadership (Bishops) for the annual conferences.

The United Methodist Church is a global body that Louisiana Memorial is part of. We have connections with churches all over the world. As our founder, John Wesley, once said, "The World is my parish!"
