I believe in God the Father Almighty,

maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, dead, and buried;

the third day he rose from the dead;

he ascended into heaven,

and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;

from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting. Amen.

God is creator of all things.

God is the embodiment of power and love / grace and justice.

God created, recreated, and is still creating.

 

Jesus is manifestation of God with us.

Jesus is God's living word that rewrites our history.

Jesus has died, Jesus is risen, Jesus will come again.

 

Ruah is the very essence of God breathed into all of creation.

The Holy Spirit is what gives us life and love.

The Holy Spirit sustains us and moves us.

 

We were created in imago dei (the image of God) 

Somehow we distorted that image.

Jesus died that we might be restored to life and have life abundant. 

 

Jesus welcomed all people saints and sinners so we do to.

No matter who you are or where you have been transformation is always possible.

Forgiveness is available to all who seek it.

 

The church is not our building, it is us.

We are the hands and feet of Christ.

We are the community of believers sent to out to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly.
